Our remit for this project was to build a new front of house single floor extension to the owner’s bungalow with new flat roof porch and form a new gable in keeping with the existing gable end. The initial works involved the setting out, excavation of footings utilising a 1.5t machine before installation of a strip foundation. We then worked out of the ground up to damp course, to install a block and beam floor, followed by installation of windows, doors and wall plate for the roof and works for the 1st fix. We also had the tricky task of picking up the roof In line with support steel in line with S/Engineers calculations so of this task we installed a supporting across whilst we removed an internal lounge wall. Once all structural support was in place we then installed a cut roof to pick up the existing main roof and tiled to match the existing front gable. An Alkor membrane flat roof was then installed above the entrance hall at the bottom of the twin gable. Once all external works were finished we then completed all plastering and a partial 2nd fix to the property.

All works were carried out with good cooperation with Planning and Building Control and completed in a timely manner and to within budgets and to our client’s satisfaction.
